Envolve Vision Administering Benefits for Phase I - Former YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois Members
Beginning February 1, 2020
On February 1, 2020, Envolve Vision will offer benefits for Phase 1 former YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois members. The YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois plan was designed by Illinois Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) and Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to serve former and current youth in care. The expansion for current YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois members who are still in DCFS custody will begin by April 1, 2020. UPDATE: The April 1 launch of YouthCare for youth currently in DCFS custody has been delayed by at least 30 days as state agencies focus on challenges associated with COVID-19. UPDATE: YouthCare for youth currently in DCFS custody will begin September 1, 2020.
A Continuity of Care (COC) period will be available from February 1 through September 30, 2020. Open authorizations will be honored throughout the COC period following submission of the approved authorization determination from the previous vision administrator. UPDATE: The Continuity of Care period has been extended to February 28, 2021.
Please refer to the plan specifics for Medicaid, as these benefits align with Medicaid member benefits.
