YouthCare connects members to no-cost medical, mental health, dental, vision, and pharmacy services that address our members’ unique needs and support their overall well-being.
Members can get care from any in-network provider. Looking for a provider? Use our online tool to find providers near you. You can search by language and gender to find the right provider for the member’s needs. Some providers offer telehealth services, so youth can get behavioral health care right at home. Learn more about telehealth services.
To help make sure all members get the care they need, each member is assigned a GuidedCare Care Coordinator. Our Care Coordinators can help make appointments and create a plan of care.

Covered medical care
Each YouthCare member has a primary care provider (PCP). The PCP is your go-to for routine care, like yearly checkups. PCPs can also refer members to specialists as needed. To choose a PCP, use our Find a Provider tool.
Of course, sometimes care can’t wait. That’s why we cover emergency and urgent care for our members, too.
Not sure what kind of care is needed?
Call the 24/7 Nurse Advice Line at 844-289-2264 (TTY: 711) to speak with a registered nurse.
MindCare mental health care and support
Mental health care is covered at no cost through YouthCare MindCare. This includes therapy, care for substance use disorder, hospitalizations, and any necessary prescriptions.
We also offer special mental health support programs to help every youth thrive.
If a YouthCare member is having a mental health crisis, call the statewide 24-hour Crisis and Referral Entry Services (CARES) line at 800-345-9049 (TTY: 773-523-4504). The CARES line staff will provide urgent support.
If anyone in your family has thoughts of harming themselves or others, call 988. You’ll be connected to a mental health professional.
No-cost prescription coverage
Members can get prescriptions at no cost at any in-network pharmacy. To find a nearby pharmacy, use our online tool.
To be covered, the medication needs to be on our Preferred Drug List (PDL). Download the PDL to see if the member’s medication is covered.
No-cost dental care
YouthCare helps keep smiles healthy. We cover routine and emergency dental care for youth of all ages. Some orthodontic care is covered, too.
Vision care services
YouthCare members can get eye exams every year. Members can go more often if their vision changes.
If members lose or break their eyeglasses, they can get no-cost replacements. Learn more about vision coverage in the Member Handbook.
